Where Fashion meets Art!
- a fabulous Fashion Show and Competition on the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach. The Festival
of Arts is known for putting on truly unique and imaginative events, and for the fourth year in a row,
Festival exhibiting artists are making fashion their medium at Festival Runway Fashion. Think of it as
the Festival of Arts version of Bravo's Project Runway with an eco-friendly twist. Festival artists
compete against each other to create the most inspired couture; 80% of the materials for which must be
reclaimed, reused or recycled. A full runway fashion show, complete with a three-judge panel and celebrity
host (TBD) makes it a one-of-a-kind event that is becoming a summer highlight. As glamour guru
Tim Gunn says on Project Runway, "Make it work!" And Festival of Arts artists make it work like no others!
Be amazed and entertained by high art and high fashion at the 3rd Annual Festival Runway Fashion Show,
free with Festival of Arts admission ($10).

Family Art Day
Saturday, July 21, 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm
Family Art Day
Family Art Day at the Festival of Arts is bound to be the most fun-filled, art-filled and enchantment-filled day
of the entire summer for Orange County families! Family Art Day is designed for and around the children. When they
arrive, kids will get a booklet full coupons redeemable for special activities and treats. They will take a backstage
tour of the Pageant of the Masters. They'll do printmaking and ceramics in the new Art Center. They will even go on
a scavenger hunt where they will answer kid-friendly questions by investigating exhibited art throughout the grounds.
It's a great way to inspire a conversation for the whole family about things like color, dimension, medium and types
of art. And if that's not enough, there will also be face painting, balloon art and even free ice cream from Gina's!
Mom and Dad will enjoy live musical entertainment by The Fugowies, who perform light rock with a ton of great
harmonies. Family Art Day is a summer 2012 must, and best of all it's free with Festival of Arts admission ($10 for
adults, $6 for seniors and students, and free for kids under 12!).
